The Notification Settings feature enables organization administrators to configure alerts for important system events related to gateways, devices and access activity. Notifications can be delivered through Email, SMS, In-App notifications or Alarm alerts, with customizable trigger timings and repeat intervals to ensure timely updates while reducing unnecessary alerts.

Notification Type

Notification Type defines the specific system event for which a notification is triggered. These events help administrators monitor important gateway, device and access-related activities across the organization. Common notification types include gateway status, device connectivity issues, door open alerts and door break-in events. Administrators can enable or disable notification types based on organizational monitoring requirements, ensuring only relevant events generate alerts.

Action Settings

Action Settings allow administrators to choose how notifications are delivered once an event is triggered. Notifications can be sent through multiple channels, including:

  • Email Notifications – Alerts delivered directly to registered email addresses.
  • SMS Notifications – Instant updates sent via text message.
  • In-App Notifications – Alerts displayed within the platform interface.
  • Alarm Notifications – Audible alerts currently supported only for DOTL and Door Break-In events.

Notify After

Notify After allows administrators to define the exact delay before a notification is triggered. The time can be configured in hours or minutes, ensuring alerts are only sent when an event persists beyond the defined threshold. This helps reduce unnecessary notifications caused by temporary interruptions.

Repeat Every

Repeat Every enables recurring notifications , if the event remains unresolved after the initial alert. Administrators can set a repeat interval to ensure critical issues continue to generate reminders until resolved.

User Selection

User Selection determines who receives the configured notifications. Notifications can be assigned to:

  • Admins
  • Site Admins
  • All Users
  • Selected Users

This ensures alerts are delivered only to relevant personnel based on roles and responsibilities.

Custom

Custom allows administrators to filter and select specific sites and devices for monitoring. This ensures notifications are generated only for operational or relevant locations and devices, providing greater control.

Once configured, all notification settings are centrally applied ensuring consistent monitoring and alert management across the organization.

Using the Custom Feature:

After selecting Custom, all available site names will appear under the Sites dropdown, and all corresponding device names for the selected site will appear under the Devices section for configuration. This allows administrators to easily filter and manage notification settings for specific locations and devices.

For each selected device, administrators can configure:

  • Notification Channels – Enable notifications through Email, SMS, In-App, or Alarm based on monitoring requirements.
  • Notify After – Define the delay in hours or minutes before a notification is triggered.
  • Repeat Every – Configure recurring alerts if the event remains unresolved after the initial notification.
  • User Access – Assign notifications to Admins, Site Admins, All Users or Selected Users.
  • Special Actions – Configure event-specific controls such as Alarm Timeout and Reset Alarm where applicable.

Once all settings are configured, click Apply to save and activate the notification settings for the selected devices. These custom configurations will override the main notification settings only for the enabled devices.
