Cisco Meraki Integration
Introduction
This article contains the steps on how to use spintly and cisco integration
1) Creating a Cisco Meraki Dashboard Account
a) Visit this URL to land on the Meraki account creation/ login page.Once there, you should see the below page
b) Click on the Create an account label.
c) Select your region, and click on the Next button
d) Fill in all the necessary details and click on Create account.
e) Enter the verification code that you receive on your registered email and click
on verify.
f) Complete the email verification process.
g) In the email that you receive for verification, click on Confirm email address
h) Then, you will be taken to this page. Click on the here button. This will take
you back to the login page, where you will have to login with your credentials.
2) Getting the API Key for your Organisation
a) When you login for the first time, you will see this screen. Click on Register Meraki
Devices, and click on Next
b) You will be taken to this page, where you have to create a Network. Enter a Network
name and click on Create network. Your camera devices will be added under this
network.
c) Once you create a Network, you will be taken to this page.
d) On the left hand side, hover over the Organization tab. Click on API & webhooks.
e) Click on Generate API Key
f) Then, you will be taken to this page, where on the right hand side you will find another
button to generate API Key. Click on it.
g) You will get an API Key which you will have to copy and store safely. Once done, select I’ve stored my API key and click done
3) Creating a user for performing operations
a) This user has to be created and the credentials of the user has to be provided in the Spintly Portal
b) Hover over the organization tab and click on Administrators.
c) Click on the Add admin button on the Right Hand Side
d) Enter the details of the user. Select Organization access as Full from the dropdown and click on Create Admin.
e) Click on Save changes.
f) Go to the new admin’s email and open the one which says Welcome to Cisco Meraki
g) Click on Choose your password here. You will be taken to this screen where you will have to set a password.Save this Password which you will have to enter in the Spintly Portal.
h) Once the new password is set, enter the username and password and click on Sign in
i) Once you click on Sign in, you will be taken to this page where you will have to
enter the verification code sent to you on email
j) Once you enter the Verification code and click on Verify, you will be taken to
the dashboard
4) Integration in Spintly - Saams Web Portal
a) User has to click on integration on the left menu and select on Cisco Meraki.
b) Click on Yes, Integrate button, to initialize the integration process
c) A dialog box will appear, enter integration details and click on Add.Here you have to enter the API Key that you generated and the username, password of the new admin user that you have created.
d) The Integration completed successfully Message will be displayed. This completes the integration process with Spintly.
