How do I connect the gateway to Wifi?
How to power on the gateway
1. Connect the included power adaptor to the gateway via the DC jack.
2. Plug the adaptor into the wall socket
3. The status LED should be stable red, indicating it's powered on, and the gateway is turning on now.
Note: If you have a PoE-enabled gateway model, then you can power the gateway just with the PoE ethernet cable. There is no need to plug in the power adaptor separately.
How to configure the gateway to your Wi-Fi network.
Note down the SSID {name of your Wi-Fi network) and password of your home Wi-Fi network before you proceed.
1. Power on the Fi-B Gateway
- Once the power is connected, the status LED will turn red, indicating the gateway is turning ON.
- After the gateway is fully turned on and if the gateway was not configured to any Wi-Fi network, then the status LED and Wi-Fi LED will blink Purple
2) Put the gateway in configuration mode
- Keep the configure button pressed for approximately 10 seconds and release it after the status LED turns solid red.
- Now, wait around 45 seconds for the gateway to come into access point mode. This will be indicated by the status LED blinking red, and all other LEDs turning off
3) Connect to the gateway over Wi-Fi to configure it
- Open your laptop or phone while and connect to the Spintly gateway. The default Fi-B Gateway access point name and password are given below
Gateway name = spintly-gateway
Password= spintly#321$
- Once you are connected to the gateway, go to your web browser.
- Type the URL below in the address field of your browser.
http:/1192.168.1.1 or http://spintly-gateway.local
4) Connect the gateway to your desired Wi-Fi network.
- Once the configuration page opens, click on your available Wi-Fi network to configure this gateway to that network.
- Click Refresh Wi-Fi networks, if you cannot see WiFi networks.
- Click on your desired Wi-Fi network and enter the password. Click on apply.
- You will get a message Gateway has been configured for the new Wi-Fi network. Click on the OK button.
- Click on restart Gateway. This will restart the gateway
- If you enter the correct password, the gateway will connect to your Wi-Fi after reboot, and the status LED should turn blue, indicating that the Gateway is connected to Wi-Fi.
LED Status Indicator ( when it is configured using Wi-Fi): To check the status of the gateway, you can check the status LEDs on its front.
